External hosting of infocommunication systems (SaaS)
Outsourcing of accounting services - Outsourcing of IT systems hosting (software as a service model, SaaS) is a type of information process outsourcing. Unlike conventional hosting, a SaaS outsourcer not only provides physical equipment for hosting information systems, but also ensures their installation, support and updates.
Under the SaaS model, customers pay not to own the software itself, but to rent it (for example, to use it through a web interface). Thus, in contrast to the classical software licensing scheme, the customer incurs relatively small recurring costs and does not need to invest significant funds in purchasing the system. The scheme assumes that if the need for the software is temporarily absent, the customer can suspend payments.
The SaaS diagram clearly demonstrates the relationship between different types of BPO. A company developing SaaS systems for personnel management or accounting can simultaneously be a provider of BPO services in these areas.
